Your kitchen data, explained simply.

We use the information you choose to add to AiShopper to provide your meal planning, pantry and shopping-list experience.

What we use

This includes your Google/Firebase account identifier, display name and email address; meals, pantry items, essentials, weekly prep, meal plans, shopping lists, receipts and the settings you save; and technical access information such as IP address, request route and timing. If you use an AI feature, the relevant kitchen information is used to create the result you request.

How we use it

Your data helps us authenticate you, personalise your plans, generate shopping lists, keep your kitchen information available across sessions, operate subscriptions and protect the service. We only access it through your authenticated AiShopper account. We do not sell personal information.

Security

We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the AiShopper experience. Data is sent between AiShopper and its services over HTTPS, and account data is accessed through authenticated sessions. Please avoid adding information that is sensitive or unnecessary for meal planning.

AI-powered meal planning

When you ask AiShopper to create a meal plan, we send the relevant meal descriptions, pantry items, planning dates, number of people and any recipe preferences you provide to our AI provider, OpenRouter, so it can generate your plan. No personal information is included in a standard request: we do not send your account name, email address or other account identifiers. OpenRouter and the selected model provider do not use this data to train their models. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in recipe preferences or other free-text fields.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase to provide Google sign-in, Microsoft cloud services to host AiShopper and its data, OpenRouter and the selected AI model provider to process AI requests, and PayPal to process subscriptions. These providers receive only the information needed to provide their service; PayPal processes payment information and we do not store your card or bank details.

Data retention & privacy

Your account and kitchen data are stored in cloud-hosted services operated by Microsoft while your AiShopper account remains active. Choosing Remove all Kitchen data removes your saved kitchen data but keeps your account. Choosing Delete account permanently deletes your kitchen data and replaces your AiShopper account identifier, display name and email address with anonymised values. Anonymised access logs are retained for five years for security and operational purposes. The service maintains regular backups, which may retain deleted data until they are replaced through the normal backup cycle. Email us to request a copy of your personal information.

DATA MANAGEMENT

How to remove your data

In the app, open Settings, scroll to Data Management, then select Remove all Kitchen data to clear saved kitchen data while keeping your account. To permanently remove your AiShopper account and kitchen data, select Delete account and confirm. This does not delete your Google account or cancel a PayPal subscription.
